- Started as Principal SRE; after a reorg, was the principal engineer for the Quality Org
- Developed uptime monitoring, reporting, and data pipelines using New Relic, Apache Airflow, Kafka, and Snowflake
- Migrated centralized QA tooling (k6 for performance testing, Playwright for E2E UI testing) from AWS ECS to AWS EKS
- Acted as SME for migration of CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to CircleCI
- Mentored early career engineers on Cloud Native computing paradigms as well as life inside the corporate world
- Worked with a team after their acquisition to build a super-low-latency URL rewriter for approximately 30k URL prefixes using CloudFront with DynamoDB and Lambda@Edge to achieve single-digit millisecond response times on redirects

Key Achievements
- Served as half of the infrastructure architecture team for Connect for Health Colorado, the Colorado implementation of the Affordable Care Act exchanges. Through our architectural decisions allowing end users to browse plans without first creating a user on the system, Colorado was the only exchange—state or federal—that did not suffer an outage on October 1, 2013, when the exchanges were statutorily required to go live.
- Introduced 12-factor application development, OAuth 2, and Cloud Foundry to a firm in the satellite imaging space, allowing for seamless service-to-service secure communications, horizontal scalability, and accelerated deployments to production.
- Subcontracted with Pivotal Software to provide post-sales services delivery of Pivotal Cloud Foundry solutions
- Mentored junior consultants in matters of software development, so-called "soft skills" required of consultants, and CI/CD patterns
